New Hyundai Tiburon: With A Little More Spice

The most recent Guangzhou Motor Show became the venue for Hyundai to present to the motoring public the newest version of the Hyundai Tiburon. And matched with the finest Hyundai Tiburon performance parts, any auto lover would know not to expect much less.

The newest Hyundai Tiburon model now features a redesign which is still subtle compared to the drastic changes that other auto makers do with their creations. However, the subtle changes for the Hyundai Tiburon do not necessarily equate to lesser appeal and an overall look that does not seem to change at all. These new change done to the vehicle has been made specifically so as to bring out and emphasize the hidden elements that the Hyundai Tiburon has in store. Now, you can find some minute changes to the front and the rear of the vehicle which can make your overall view of the vehicle seem different.

This Chevy Pickup Won’t Run - It Tries To, But It Just Won’t Start!

If you happen to have a GM product made in the 70’s I have a tip for you if it starts slowing down, getting less fuel mileage, or just refuses to start.

At the independent shop I worked at we had a 1972 Chevy pickup pulled in…It wouldn’t start, it cranked ok, but the engine wouldn’t start up and run.

Naturally, we tuned it: points, plugs, condenser, wires, rotor, and distributor cap.

No change…it just cranked…didn’t even act like it wanted to start…I figured it must just be tired.

The man I worked for had been in this business for the past 35 years.

Competition Drives Honda And Toyota Forward

Speed Limits Save Time & Money

Ah yes, the good old speed limit. Our silent big brother. The 11th commandment of life. The one road rule hardly anyone short of student drivers seem to take seriously.

I should know. I was one of the lead foots. I attained almost 4 pages of traffic tickets, most of them speeding violations. My excuse was that I drove a sweet 1987 IROC Camaro with a 5.7 liter corvette engine/tranny package and a top speed of 150 mph!

Repowering Utility Carts Makes Green Sense, But Does it Make Financial Sense?

Golfers at the Hindman Park Golf Course in Little Rock, Arkansa have something to brag about – they have the greenest greens in the state. Not the color green – green as in environmentally friendly. Environmentally friendly golf courses came to national attention about ten years ago, when the Environmental Protection Agency, the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA), the United States Golf Association (USGA), Audubon International and the National Wildlife Federation came together and created a set of guidelines for developing greener golf courses.

First Aid at the Roadside

There are an estimated 300,000 casualties from road accidents every year in the UK and knowing some First Aid could help save a life. Carrying a First Aid kit in a car or on a motorcycle is highly recommended, so that there is basic equipment available should there be an accident.

It must be stressed that there is no comparison to going on a First Aid training course, and that the following advice must be taken in that context. www.sja.org.uk is the St John’s Ambulance website where more information about going on a First Aid course can be found.

A Guide to Car Seat Covers

When it comes to buying car seat covers, there are a number of factors that need to be considered. Car seat covers are very important for the overall enhancement of the car’s interior. The main function of car seat covers is to protect the original seats from dirt, liquid, stains, food and any other elements. They are provided for both security and visual appeal.

Seat covers should fit the model and make of your car. Likewise, price and quality of the covers are also important. Car seat covers come in universal sizes and can also be customized to suit any specifications. They come as bucket seats with headrests, single benches with split headrests, split benches with headrests, bucket and bench seats with armrests, solid benches and high- and low-back bucket seat covers.

Powerglide Transmissions

My how things have changed over the years in dragracing. The power, parts, cars, and speed to name a few things that have changed. How about the transmissions. Everyone use to get rid of their powerglides and put four and five speed manual transmissions in their cars. With the clutch you could free rev the motor and be able to launch the car much harder with a manual than you could an automatic with a converter. Now you go to the dragstrip and 90 percent of the racecars have powerglides in them. With the evolution of the torque converters you can get any stall speed you want for the launch and be able to get the car to take off very hard. And powerglides are a very strong tranny. I know of many guys that have run well down into the 9 second range with stock 1.82 planataries and well down into the 8’s with 1.76 planataries.
